Art education
We believe that art is a tool that allows us to meet and connect with our environment. Learning about art and reflecting on everyday issues through art provide a new perspective on our environment and our daily lives; this helps us study and define our identities. With the help of art education, we can enrich our lives and broaden our horizons.
The gallery has several art education programs for school groups as well as individuals, young artists and adults, which are delivered by a well-trained team of art teachers and artists.
At the end of each year, we celebrate and present our work in an exhibition open to the general public.
Many schools visit the gallery with their classes. During the first part of the visit, we give the children a guided tour of the current exhibition in the gallery. Then, in the second part of the visit, a workshop is held, in which the children create a piece related to the theme of the current exhibition.

Lemon Class
Ages 8-12
Every Saturday between 10:00 and 12:00, the children are invited to learn a variety of different art techniques from around the world.
Olive Class
Age 5-7
Every Saturday between 10:00 and 12:00, the children are invited to take their first steps in the world of art. We offer a simple and passionate start by drawing, building, and playing.
Flower Class
Ages 8-12
Every Saturday between 10:00 and 12:00, the children are invited to a creativity development course. In this course, the children bring their own ideas, and we help them realize them.

Adults:
Every Saturday between 10:00 and 12:00, there is a special course, intended for adults who want to create art. In this course, participants learn and develop new techniques and discover new ways to express themselves. Also, this is a golden opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences with other artists.
Details: one-time course cost NIS 200 (including materials). Academic year, NIS 1500 (including materials).

Activities for Children and Grandparents
The Women’s Ceramic Workshop
As part of the Gallery’s commitment to fostering dialogue and connection with the local community, internationally renowned ceramic artist Rina Peleg founded the ceramics workshop for women.
Since 2013, the workshop has remained a unique opportunity for women from Umm el-Fahem and Wadi Ara to learn a new skill or expand their expertise in clay.
The workshop also organizes tours for participants to museums and artists’ studios, and presents their work in exhibitions in Tel Aviv and elsewhere.
Among the workshop’s central goals are empowering women, creating pathways to employment, and fostering meaningful cultural connections between Jewish and Arab women — often through a first encounter of this kind.
Hunak Hōn“, Open Houses”
“Open Houses”, is an art exhibition that will be held for the fifth time in the houses of Umm Al-Fahm, and will open on May 23, 2023.
Nine families will open their homes, their private, personal and intimate spaces, and turn them into areas of art, dialogue, acquaintance, true discovery and love.
Jewish and Arab artists were invited to exhibit together, and create local works created after wandering around the city and getting to know their hosts, the members of the group and the personal stories of each one.
At the Hunak Hōn exhibition, we want to invite art lovers to walk the streets of the city, and be surprised by its welcoming people, their art, culture, food and open-heartedness. With a gentle and loving hand, the exhibition trail leads the viewer through the paths of this city, introducing them to people and exposing them to a mixture of languages, landscapes, beautiful houses and steep slopes. The visitors are invited to go down paths of thoughts about this place, about home, the connection, the borders and the dissolution of the borders, about the possibility to explore the basics of control and power.
The walking paths and wanderings in the city will be guided by the skilled guides of “Marbad Yerok Vadi Aara” who will transform the paths themselves into works of art that arise in the local and human space. The project program will include 20 guided tours, planned throughout the duration of the exhibition, beginning at the gallery itself, and they will be available in 3 different languages (Hebrew, Arabic and English).
